Whitley Bay Web is currently in its infancy and is aimed at creating an informative and content rich site for use by both visitors to the town and those that live and work in the town and the surrounding areas.
Because the site is still in the development and growth stages, it is not creating any revenue from advertisers. When the site matures and interest grows we anticipate that people will want to advertise on the site and will pay a premium to do so. We at Whitley Bay Web want to be part of the community and in our commitment to it, it is proposed that a percentage of the revenue made will be donated to local charities.
This is where you come in. We want you to nominate local charities that we can hopefully support in the future. Each of these local charities will be nominated a page on the Whitley Bay Web site. On these pages we would like to give the opportunity to each of the charities to outline their work that they carry out in the local community, any news stories that they would like to post, special events or ways in which they can gain support both financially and personally from the local community. We want to help these local charities.
So if you know a local charity who would like to take the opportunity to raise awareness of their plight and hopefully get some money out of us, please let us know.
