Whitley Bay Web is, I suppose, a website for the community & by the community. Like the News Guardian is part of our society and provides a platform to announce news, stories and opinions, Whitley Bay Web will offer the same with maybe less politics and more passion.

We are passionate about Whitley Bay and its future, we hope that Whitley Bay Web will be around for many years to follow the changes in our community.

There will be a certain amount of advertising on this site, firstly to provide some funding for its operation and also to allow local businesses to grow by hopefully gaining a wider audience. At first advertising will be free, when we do charge in the future, a certain percentage of the profits will be donated to local charities. If you would like to nominate a local charity please let us know.
